You deserve to be the best mom you can be.

The coach + how I can help

Hey there, I’m Izette. I know what it feels like to feel alone and confused as a new mom who comes to motherhood later in life. A week before I turned 40 years old my daughter was born. Two years later I had my son. From the outside, it looked like I finally had everything. But on the inside, I felt overwhelmed and torn between my established career and my children. I struggled to find a place where I could figure out what steps to take to live the life I’d been dreaming of.

If you’re a mom trying to get back to who you really are and want to be, I get that! I have experienced some if not all of what you have experienced. I’ve learned nobody is behind me or ahead of me, we are all on a journey.

I believe you are the expert on your life. I will only offer you the right support and space for you to devise excellent solutions to your challenges. I understand the overwhelm of being a mom, building a career, and having your own life. I know how difficult it can be to find someone to talk to who just “gets it”.

That’s where I come in. I’ll be your coach. I will listen to your desires, needs, and challenges and then hold a mirror up to help you see and build on your already-in-place capabilities and wisdom.

Is Remapped right for you?

Women who came to motherhood in their late 30’s and 40’s are my clients.

I thrive on guiding women like you to become the mom you want to be at work, at home, and in your relationships.

I can help you discover the woman you know you are.

When you find that woman, you will be a mom who is present, both in body and in mind. Because when you show up for yourself, you can show up for your family. It’s when your attention is on work and family issues or comparing yourself to others that it’s hard to remember who you are.

I believe you are the expert in your life.

You are inherently creative, resourceful, and whole. I am not in the business of giving advice. I believe you already have all you need to be the mom you know you are. And, with the right support and attention, you will devise excellent solutions for your challenges.

Coaching is not for everyone! Coaching is for you if you:

… suspect you are not living the life you sense you can

… are ready to face where your life isn’t adding up

… have the courage to look at your own limitations

… have the persistence to take on the exciting and challenging work of personal change

What does the coaching journey look like?

Experience of being coached

Potential clients often ask me (Izette) what they can expect in coaching. The best way to answer is to tell my story of receiving coaching. In my first coaching experience, I expected the coach to tell me either what was wrong with me or how bad I was at what I was trying to do.

What I discovered was that coaching is the start of a journey. Coaching is about taking a closer look at the daily habits and behaviors that make me feel frustrated or hopeless. It’s about having someone to hold up a mirror, so I can see how my thinking and way of being is holding me back.

For me, it was session four or five, where my coach asked me: “Izette, is that what you do?” At first, I was confused. I did not understand the question. She asked it again. And then I heard what she was asking. A new understanding hit me the way lightning strikes a tree. This thing my coach asked me about, I had done for years and years. I was so good at it, I did not see how much energy it took, how it affected relationships and how it was holding me stuck.

THAT is what coaching is all about. It is bringing awareness to the behaviors that are preventing you from stepping into your dreams. It is having someone running alongside as you become more you.
